Home Care Philosophy: I believe that when your children are in my home, they should feel comfortable, loved and have lots of opportunities to be creative during their day. Once your children start school, the stress of keeping up with their classmates and moving at the teacher's pace will begin. I believe that an important gift we can give to our children is to allow them to be children. They all grow at various rates with different interests and these interest need to be explored at their level within our boundaries.
By offering many age appropriate activities, I am laying a foundation in reading, math, and writing readiness. This occurs as your child uses a pencil, crayon, marker or paint, builds with blocks, manipulates pegs, tells a story, is read to, or takes part in dramatic play.
I strive to encourage, by example and guidance, being kind and fair to others. Social/emotional skills are developed during every day play and work activities throughout the day. I also feel that your children deserve the right to play alone and so when they show the signs of needing their own space, I am able to provide quiet areas for independent play.
