Kari's Home Away From Home

Hello! My name is Kari Williams. I am a 54-year-old Mom with one grown son who has flown the nest. My experience with children is extensive. I worked at a daycare center in college, I was the Den Mother for my son's Cub Scout group for 6 years, and I have taken care of children in my home as well. I like to keep the number of children I care for small so that I can truly devote my attention to them. One of the children that I cared for was Abby. I cared for her from 3 months old to age 5. I love caring for infants and toddlers. It is my belief that babies placed in daycare facilities often don't receive the nurturing and attention that they require. My home has an extremely large and fenced backyard for play, and I have plenty of room in my home for indoor activities as well. I believe in at home education for children, and I still have all of my son's childhood books as well. Reading time is important, enjoyable, and educational. Toddlers are busy little people and they need plenty of activities to thrive and grow, so toys and craft activities are fun. I don't believe in "warehousing" children. Working parents need to feel assured that their little ones are receiving the best care possible.
