I am currently a licensed-exempt daycare provider. What this means is that I am aloud 3 children in my care from multiple families or all children from one family. Even though I am not licensed I am familiar with the rules and regulations to be licensed and try to follow most of them. I also have my associate s degree in Early Childhood Education with 9mo of experience with-in a daycare center.
The structure in my program is a more relaxed atmosphere. I run the program as close to what the child may expect from their own home setting. We eat like a family, clean up together, and try to fit in some basic learning activities. I also try to fit in weekly outings: park, indoor play-gounds, and sometimes shopping trips.
