I teach guitar in an unorthodox manner. Music is something that connects you to your soul. I teach the basics then build on them. Hand placement, strumming, picking, hammer ons, hammer offs, harmonics. Then after this I teach a bit of music theory, rhythms, then I teach how to connect the music in the soul to the guitar. Every person should learn a few songs buy a few different artists. This will allow them to start developing there own melodies and songs, In the long run.
