I'm Joy, and Joyful Treasures is my home daycare located off exit 63 in Manchester, CT. As a state licensed program I provide quality care for your little treasures. Nutritious meals and snacks are included!
I've been working with children since I was a teenager. In college I studied elementary education and worked at daycare centers and elementary schools. After college I ran a before-and after school care program before returning to CT. For the past 15 years I worked in a private Pre-K to Gr. 12 school as both a teacher and an assistant principal. Now, I use all that experience to provide safe, loving, care in my home.
Joyful Treasures is guided by my values of Family, Childhood, Excellence and Faith.
Family
I value family! This is why I have chosen to create a home-based daycare option so that your child can be cared for in a family environment. It is also why I value partnership with you, the parent. I am honored that you would entrust me with your precious child for a few hours each day and I do not take that responsibility lightly! Through open and frequent communication, I will partner with you to provide the best care possible for your child.
Childhood
It seems that you often hear parents lamenting about their children growing up too fast these days. I want your child to enjoy being a child! In a home setting your child can learn and develop at his/her own pace without undue stress or rigor.
Excellence
I know that when you pay for a service, you expect one to be provided with excellence, and that is my goal. I may not always achieve perfection, but you can know that I will be doing my best to care for your child with love and to provide the level of care you would give if you were here. You can rest assured that my license is kept current, the regulations are followed, and that I am staying trained and informed about developments in this field.
Faith
This value is the foundation upon which my life, my business, and my care for your child are based. As a Christian, my love for God overflows into all areas of my life. I know that this love will be extended to your child, as well. Your family does not need to share my faith to enjoy the care that I can provide.
