About
John Knox Preschool is licensed by the State of Ohio through the Department of Jobs and Family Services. We have provided education in a Christian environment since 1967. The school is a non-profit, half-day school serving members and friends of John Knox Presbyterian Church along with residents of the community and surrounding communities.
The mission of the school is "To provide a loving and caring Christian environment, which will help children develop mentally, physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually."
We offer a Three-year-old program which meets for 2 1/2 hours two days a week. Children must be 3 by September 1st.
We offer a Four/Five-year-old program which meets for 3 1/2 hours three days a week. Children must be 4 by September 1st. Children who miss the school cutoff date for kindergarten or who may benefit from an extra year of preschool may enroll in this program.
Our license requires children be toilet-trained.
Please note we are a part-time preschool that runs from September to mid-May. Our school calendar is based on the North Olmsted City School calendar.
Our teacher/student ratios are below the licensing requirements. The Threes class can have a maximum of 12 students with 2-3 teachers. The Four/Fives class can have a maximum of 14 students with 2-3 teachers.
