JHH 's Mission Statement: The goal of this daycare is to provide a safe and happy home-away-from-home environment for your child. Through play, group interaction, gentle discipline, rest time, and lots of nurturing and attention, your child will continue their development at his/her own pace and learn new skills along the way. The children at JHH are an extension of my family and each child is cared for as I would my own.

JoAnn 's Helping Hands began as a vision in 1998, and that dream became a reality in April 1999. In-home child care has been my chosen profession since that time when I became licensed by the State of Michigan as a Family Home for 6 children. I have been a Group Home, caring for up to 12, since June 2001.

Sharing my days with children is my passion, and I take great pride in what I do.
As JHH 's owner and primary Provider, I am trained in Bloodborne Pathogens and certified in first aid and infant/child/adult CPR; medical clearance and background check/fingerprinting remain current. I have over 200 hours of early childhood training/development. I regularly attend South Macomb 's Early Learning Community trainings (emphasizing High Scope fundamentals), Macomb County Child Care Providers Association trainings, and continue to participate in related conferences annually. I am respected among my peers, in my community, and enthusiastically promote quality childcare. In April 2011, I was honored to be named one of the fifty, hand-selected child care teachers/providers in the country to receive the prestigious TLCCF National Child Care Teacher Award http://wwwtllccf.org.
