I am not a business really. I am a stay at home mother of two. I am looking to care for children in our home. I have openings for two children.
I have worked with children for upwards of 14 years in a private and professional setting. Ranging from daycare, preschool, as a nanny and caring for my families youngsters. I was with my last two families for 4 years each. Therefore, I am looking to find someone more long term.
I have several references available on request. I am certified in CPR and first aid. I am also a licensed massage therapist.
I believe our children are learning all day, every day. They are taking in the good and the bad. It is our job to show them more of the good example s and to learn from the bad.
I try to turn everyday activities into a learning tool, from cooking to driving to bathing. The opportunities are there if you use a little imagination.
I enjoy doing crafts, science projects, lots of coloring, play dough, painting etc. We have a playhouse, a tree house, swings, riding toys and a sand box. I encourage a lot of free play in the playroom. We also read books all throughout the day. My kids can t get enough. I do allow TV time but usually limit it to times when I need to cook and clean.
I think in the future I would like to attempt field trips but that is something to discuss when the time comes.

In a nutshell...I charge the following:

$5.00/hr.
One healthy snack/meal
Structured and free play
Usually one-two craft each week

As in any business, you are bound to get burned. I have had my fair share of burns. That being said I do ask that every family sign an agreement much like a childcare center.
