Jo-lee's Day Or Night

Hi, I am mother of two. I have a daughter -- she recently turned 4 -- and a son that is 5 months old. I am looking for someone that needs a safe and child-friendly environment for a child or children. I am a stay at home mother and student you can entrust caring for your little one(s).

Currently I am taking a break from school but the idea of putting my children in a daycare, while I work, is less than appealing. I do not like the thought of my babies not receiving constant care in a crowded childcare center.

I have toys and books out the wazoo! This includes outdoor play equipment. My daughter eats a very well rounded diet and I enjoy preparing meals and snacks. I would be certain to stock whichever food items are needed for your little one while in my care.

I started babysitting at 15 (my first job) and cared for an infant and toddler Monday through Friday for a policeman and his wife. I had a similar nanny job at 18 for an attorney and her husband, at times I stayed through evening hours. I have cared for children and elderly individuals sporadically for 19 years.

I love children and am amazed by childhood development. I am very nurturing, patient, and understanding. I was a majoring in Psychology, but have switched to major in Social Science and History. I have an artsy side and crafts are randomly regular activities in my home. I believe children are all born with potential and many exhibit behavioral issues due to environmental factors. Yes, I side with the nurture side in the long-running nature verses nurture debate. I enjoy helping children learn, especially science-minded children, and a child's quest for knowledge fascinates me.
