Hello, my name is Jill, and I am originally from Naperville Illinois (a suburb of Chicago) and moved to Destin, Florida in April 2011. Before moving to Destin I worked as a Private Investigator in the Chicagoland area for approximately seven years. In 1995, I received a tennis athletic scholarship to Charleston Southern University in Charleston, South Carolina. In 1999, I graduated and received a Bachelor of Science, with a major in psychology and a minor in sociology and criminal justice. Due to the depressed economy, in my field, I was encouraged to implement a dream, my own Dog Walking Business. Jilly's Dog Services was born. I have always had a passion for animals, especially dogs, so I decided this was the perfect job for me, I get to work with dogs, exercise, and enjoy the benefits of living in Destin, Florida. Growing up my family always had a dog. My first dog was Molly, a 120 lb. female black lab, and then we inherited Susie, a black cocker spaniel. I have always loved having dogs around and during my last semester of college I adopted a 6-week-old puppy that was brown and black German Shepard mix. I named this puppy, Cheimo (Chee-mo), and he is now 12 years old and weighs approximately 80 lbs. Cheimo is my best friend, confidant, and is and always has been there regardless with unconditional love and companionship. Through the years we have created a bond that many other pet owners may have or had with their pets, which I believe is a blessing, and I enjoy every moment that we have together. Every day I wake up with a smile because I am greeted by a pair of big brown eyes and a waging tail. So hopefully, my business will be able to help you dog owners who work long hours, go on vacation with or without their pet, or feel that your dog needs a little extra attention. I would love to be the person who provides this service to your dog all the while making the owner feel comfortable that their pet is being treated with love and care when life's responsibilities can't always include your dog. Jilly's is a one of a kind dog walking service. Initialing there will be a Meet and Greet session. This will include introducing the dog walker to the owner and their dog. This meeting will include going over several forms to ensure the dog's care and safety.
