Hello, my name is Jessica. My husband, Aaron, and I have two children, Zayden who is 5 and Zuri who was just born in October, two dogs, and a bearded dragon. I have been doing in-home health care for 10 years and just recently switched over to in-home childcare. I chose to make the switch so that I could be home more for my children and my degree. I am currently pursuing a career in nursing and will be working towards the goal of Nurse Practitioner.
I am registered with the state of Texas to care for up to 6 children during the day and an additional 6 for before and after school care. I believe it is important to have fun while learning in a safe controlled environment. While I will have fun learning projects for preschoolers, my daycare is mainly family driven. We have a family setting and my focus is to teach the children life skills such as respecting others, sharing, polite manners, following instructions, responsibility, anger control, and problem management. I feel these skills are mandatory before children enter a school setting.
