I have 16 years of babysitting experience. I have cared for 1-6 children at a time. I have cared for infants and children up to age 8. I have 4 years experience as a daycare teacher of infants and toddlers, with up to 4 infants in my care alone, and 14 toddlers at a time with one co-teacher. I have a year and a half experience managing a daycare with 75 children, and I have a Master's degree in Education.
I am currently a stay-at-home mom to 3 girls (born 2/4/12 and twins born 9/16/13). I have 2 cats who are extremely friendly, love kids, and wear plastic nail caps at all times. I am offering babysitting in my home to children under the age of 3. You must provide transportation to and from my house. I offer a loving environment that balances activity with quiet time and tries to make learning about the world enjoyable and entertaining. I encourage the use of baby sign to reduce kids' frustrations and help them communicate. We choose to fill our house with creative toys like play food, figurines, and art supplies, as well as several hundred books. We have a newly-built, 350 square foot playroom with heated floors in our basement. Weather permitting, I have a 5' high fence surrounding a large backyard for outdoor play. Because I have 3 young girls, the house is already babyproofed, and furniture is bolted to the walls.
I am offering occasional or regular care. Unlike daycare, you only pay me when your child is here. Care is $5/hour per child. I am available 7am to 6pm Monday through Friday. If you need care outside of these hours, please ask and we will discuss your specific needs.
You provide:
- diapers
- breast milk or formula, baby food
- changes of clothes, pacifiers
I am willing to provide the following, but you are always welcome to supply these as well if you have a brand preference:
- wipes and diaper rash cream
- snacks, table foods, milk/water/juice
I do NOT run a peanut-free house.
