Jessi's Daycare

Hi! My name is Jessi. I have a fun and active personality. I love to inspire children to do their best!

I have two openings Monday-Friday in my daycare. I would like to find one family for full time or two families for part time (Mon./Wed/Fri., Tues./Thurs., or only Fri.). I could offer care for older siblings before/after school or on school breaks. I drive a Tahoe and could do pickups from nearby schools. I will provide a healthy breakfast, lunch, as well as two snacks per day. I am willing to discuss pay and hours.

I provide a safe, clean, and nurturing environment with a predictable schedule in my home. I want your children to feel like extended members of my family. I love to interact with children and do fun activities based on their age and interests. I make each day an adventure!

I have 7 years of verifiable experience as a preschool teacher and childcare director in the Douglas County School District. I have taken CPR, First Aid, Universal Precautions, and Medication Administration Training. I also have a B.S. in early childhood development. When I became a mom, I knew I wanted to continue my love in childcare and provide in-home daycare. I have two boys (4 -year-old and 6-year-old) that love to play. As a daycare provider, I use a loving teacher approach and will give the same care and attention to your children as I do to my own children. I have provided daycare for two of my nephews. The four boys and I love to explore and learn.

Some of the things I enjoy most with children are: art/crafts, music and movement, singing songs, playing games, reading books, playing outside, using puppets to work on social skills and per-literacy skills.

Emotional intelligence is so important to model and teach to children at all ages. Children will learn tools to regulate their emotions, encourage others, reason, create, and cope with challenges. I provide sensory opportunities, open-ended play (with no right or wrong way of doing things) and I give them a safe environment to make mistakes, learn about feelings, and ultimately develop their emotional intelligence.

I like to use Love & Logic positive behavior support. I also like to teach simple Sign Language when babies and simple Spanish. I love talking to babies, practicing tummy time, and giving lots of cuddle time.

I am currently scheduling interviews, tours, and have great references.
