i am a retired college English teacher from Beijing China. i first taught at a middle school then later at a college. Having been an English teacher for over 30 years. i love my students and enjoy teaching. In 2015, i retired. But now i still would like to do something helpful to children and their parents. i have two sons, both of them graduated from prestigious universities in the U.S. My colleagues and friends admire me for that. I think i am both a good teacher and a good mother. i speak both English and mandarin. Being from Beijing, I speak standard mandarin.
Now I volunteer to teach mandarin on Saturday in the nearby library. I still have plenty of free time, so I am thinking of looking after a child and teaching him / her some Chinese if needed since it's always good to learn a second language and start learning at an early age.
