With my extensive experience working with young children in a child care setting, and good communication skills, I have the ability to become the best nanny/caregiver around! During 10 years work experience in childcare setting, I have acquired a number of skills pertinent to the job.
I currently volunteer as the Children's Coordinator for a local non profit group. I have held this position and title for 3 years. During these 3 years, I have planned, organized and sought out a children's camp, various family activities, started and maintain a newsletter and have ran a team of over 10 other volunteers.
I also teach preschool, and am trying to get something a bit more permanent. There is something wonderful about helping a child discover who they want to be. I am CPR and first aid certified, I am trained in Universal Precautions and am a mandatory reporter. I do my own curriculum every week and also plan the field trips. I am working on getting my CDA . I am also working on becoming a foster parent. I kiss boo-boos and love to laugh. I'm silly, yet I can be serious when I need to be. I can play about 11 instruments, (Not great, but hey, I can play) and LOVE arts and crafts. I can send some references if you'd like, I'm sure they'd shine.
I do not only feel affection and enjoy the company of children but also understand how important child care activities are. My experience has taught me that children need to be looked after properly at every stage in their daily routine. In fact, how we take care of them today decides how their tomorrow is going to shape. In a place like school, a day care or a residential facility for youth we can educate them and teach them values of life as well as build up their self confidence. I am also good in maintaining daily record, weekly and monthly reports.
