Jen's Childcare

Hello!! I would love the opportunity to work for you and assist you with your child(ren) in my home.

I have been working with children since my early teen years, by babysitting for family friends and families from our church. When I turned 17 I got my first professional early childcare position as a substitute teacher for Bright Horizons Family Solutions, I spent 4 years in this position while I attended the local community college. In 2003 I was promoted to an assistant teacher in the preschool room while I also attended Kean University for my BA in Psychology. In 2005 I completed my BA degree and was promoted to Lead Kindergarten Teacher, followed by starting my Masters in Education and received my teaching certificate to teach in NJ Grades K-5. In 2008 I was again promoted to Education Coordinator for all ages at another location. Since then I have amassed 7 years experience of being a supervisor of all age groups and oversaw the care for all children in the center. After the birth of my second daughter this winter I did not return to my position, I miss working with children, but would like the flexibility of working more closely with a couple of families while still caring for my own children, 5-year-old attending Kindergarten and an 8-month-old.

In my over 15 years experience working in a nation-wide childcare center, (ages 6 weeks through six years), along with raising my own children. I have had experiences of all kinds and worked with a variety of children and families. I love reading to children and to observe them as they play and learn new skills. I have the education and training to assist growth and learning in early development.

I am interested in caring for young children within my home along with my two children. With my work experience I am more than capable of being able to care for more than 4 children at a time while still being able to give each child the one on one care they deserve.
