Jen's After School

Hi, I'm Jen.

In my home I offer an after school service, including snow days, breaks, holidays, early release, minimum days: snacks, homework help, dinner, fun, quiet time, running around time, hanging around time, just like you would at home.

I know it's easier to be productive at work when you know your kids are content and on track academically, especially if all you have to do is pick up your kid, chat about the day, check homework, and hang out- homework and dinner are taken care of. Two major areas of friction are smoothed.

While I was an undergrad at Davis I corrected papers and helped the students research and write better. For about seven years, from junior high on, I taught swimming and coached the beginning swimmers on our swim team. Recently I have volunteered for years with kids here in the Nevada City area while raising my two kids.

I value a structured environment that helps kids manage their time for homework and leaves plenty of time to play, socialize, and do-nothing time.

I like kids. I think they are fun. I look forward to talking with you about your child participating in my year-round program.
