About the business
Jeff began in 1983 as a breeder of Australian Cattle Dogs. In 1992, he began breeding and training Border Collies to compete in sheep herding competitions throughout the US and Canada. In 2001, Jeff began working in Border Collie and Australian Cattle Dog rescue, and over the years has fostered and found new homes for more than 100 animals. In 2004, while working as a commercial real estate broker, writer and website designer, Jeff decided to work with animals full-time, founding Jeffpet. Jeff has successfully completed several professional courses in canine training and uses both the Collar and Lead, and Clicker and Treat methods to teach basic obedience as well as important exercise-related skills such as Frisbee retrieving and swimming.
