I discovered my love and passion for working with children at a very young age. At 11 years old I was working with children while accompanied by my parents, by 13 I was caring for children alone. For 11 years I have been working with children as a volunteer or a paid childcare provider.
I was a nanny for a year and am currently still employed as her babysitter. For the past four years I have worked in a church nursery with children between the ages of newborn to 5 years old. I was working for a preschool and childcare as a lead teacher in the infant, preschool, and school age classrooms.
I am currently attending college for my BA in Human Development with the intention of becoming a teacher or social worker with my minor in early childhood education.
I am a firm believer that nannies need to have open communication with parents and that we are all one family. Children need to be treated with respect, love, and as people. I do not believe in using electronics as a baby sitter and believe in creating activities and learning environments suitable for all ages.
