Jaru Home And Community Services

Jaru HCS Services provides individualized services and support to children and adults with Intellectual Disability and/or Developmental Disabilities, who are living with their family, in their own home or in a community setting, such as a small group.

Residential Services Options
Supported Home Living: This residential option is supported by trained staff that coordinates and provides services for the individual who chooses to live in their own
home or in their family's home. Supported Home Living services include meal planning and preparation, transportation, assistance with housekeeping and many more services and supports.
Foster/Companion Care: This residential option provides a home and support services for the individual by a foster care provider, the individual can choose to live in a foster home with a family member or other individual as their foster care provider. JARU HCS contracts with the foster care provider to assist with daily living skills, personal care, transportation and other activities that allow the individual to live as independently as possible in a safe and supportive environment.
Group Homes Living: This residential option provides HCS Residential Group Homes that are 3 or 4 bed group homes that are available through the Home and Community Services Medicaid waiver program which is certified and licensed by the state. Residential Group Homes provide a safe and comfortable living for up to 4 residents in Houston and Dallas area. Provided with our group homes are 24/7 support services that assist residents with the activities of daily living. Here at JARU HCS we know living in a safe, comfortable home is fundamental to the well being of all individuals.
Private Pay HCS Program

Individuals with developmental disabilities who do not have Medicaid funding can private pay for services in a 3-bed or 4-bed group home. We also serve individuals who live on their own in an apartment settings.
