I am a very energetic mother of two daughters ages 14 and 22, wife of 23 years and aunt to 42. I have lifelong experience caring for children of all ages, including those with disabilities. I have two university degrees and nursing training from Johns Hopkins.
I currently help families with children in the MD/DC area in part time/as needed arrangements, and I currently have openings available, temporary or permanent. I can work evenings, mornings and weekends (no time limits), and I respond to short notice.
I love having a great time with kids, and I always bring something of entertainment value with me, be it a tablet, games, crafts, a cooking activity, or books and the like to help distract during separation time and to ensure your child has as much fun as you do during our time together. I also offer media free care on request for households who prefer their children spend time away from life's never-ending gadgets. There is so much we can do together, and I enjoy learning each child's interests and building upon them each time I come.
A little about me: I am a natural born US citizen, do not drink or smoke, and own my own home and car. I am safety checked as well. I offer mature, wholesome care for your family when you need it. I am the kind of care that is almost impossible to find these days. Your children will be happy, your home clean and bright.
I also love to leave a home better than I found it, such as a cleaner kitchen, toys picked up/organized, some laundry or whatever to make sure your home is calm and happy. Nap times are busy for me; I do work for you in whatever ways I can to help every minute I am working for you.
I do have scheduled part time positions and I am actively searching for more, be it every so often or a scheduled agreement. I work to support my children's tuition, so I am ready and motivated every day. I offer hassle-free, dependable care every day.
