Itty Bittys Daycare

My name is Karly and I am the mother of two young boys. For the past few years, I have been working in an elementary school with kids ranging in ages from 3 years old to 11 years old. I have always had a love for children and my passion for watching them learn and grow is what led me into the education field. However, I have decided to take a break from the school system to be with my own kids as they grow and learn. I do want to continue working with children while I am home with my own so I am starting an at home daycare program so I can continue my passion for education on a smaller scale. Kids would have a wide variety of learning opportunities including:
Shapes
Numbers
Letters/Alphabet
Colors
Writing
Simple math
Beginners Spanish
Arts and crafts

I know that not every child learns the same way so we will have a wide variety of lessons and each child will have a personalized approach to help them reach their learning goals. We also will have plenty of play time as we have a big back yard (currently getting some work done) and a park nearby for the warmer days. I also like to plan fun excursions such as traveling to the zoo, the children s museum and other fun, educational places. Kids will be provided with breakfast, lunch and two snacks per day. My meals are healthy and well balanced however if you your child has special dietary needs, we can discuss that and make arrangements. I can take kids as early as 6am and they can stay with me as late as 6pm. My pricing is very fair but varies depending on the hours you will need childcare each week as well as the age of your children. I also offer a discount for siblings. My daycare will not be a licensed preschool as that involves some more schooling, but I will be a licensed daycare provider with the added benefits of preschool style learning. I am accepting kids ages 1-5, and I can take one child younger than 1 as my youngest son is 7 months old. I am also willing to accept older kids who are in school throughout the year during summer vacations, holidays or breaks from school. I will be working at my school until July 7th and can start accepting kids as early as the next week. I am located in Aurora, zip code 80015 and my major cross streets are Buckley and Somky Hill. I would also like to add that I have a dog, a lab mix, who is very friendly, loves everyone and has grown up around my children and all of their cousins. He loves everyone, especially kids, and we have never had any issues with him. He is very calm and friendly and acts like a nanny towards my kids. I only mention it because I know some people are not comfortable with animals.
