We here at It's About Time Children's Center hold the core beliefs that:
- Activities for your children should be age-appropriate as children learn through play and exploration of the world. Teachers should know what is and is not age-appropriate through relevant training and education. We use Creative Curriculum in order to accomplish this goal.
- A child's earliest experiences will guide them through the rest of their lives. As parents, we need to embrace these experiences and make them a positive learning opportunity. Activities should not be forced and outdoor exploration and play are essential.
- The daycare experience fosters the relationship with the parent in addition to the child. Having your child get the most out of Daycare only truly works with a relationship; knowing what the child is doing at home - behaviors, emerging skills, life events - so they can be fostered at our center. We are a Daycare with Connection.
It's About Time Children's Center is...
*Operated and instructed by Miss April; a Certified Teacher with a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Therapeutic Intervention and over 20 years experience in Early Childhood Education and as a provider of care for young children.
*A Licensed and Insured NYS Group Family Daycare with a total capacity of up to 12 children, class size is small and intimate.
*Accepts children, 18 months to 5 years old, older children for our afternoon program.
*A safe, sanitary and secure environment with Video surveillance on premises.
*Conveniently located off of Middle Country Road just west by Nicholls Road - an easy AM drop-off from your commute - 5 minutes from the LIE.
*Thoroughly versed in the Middle Country school district curriculum.
*Staffed by personnel who are NYS Fingerprinted, CPR and First Aid Certified and have completed background checks and cleared though the state. Staff have relevant experience and education and must continue a minimum set of onsite and offsite training per year.
*A member of NAEYC, Council for exceptional children & Child Care Council of Suffolk.
*A Smoke-Free/Allergy-Friendly Child Care facility.
