My name is Parmis Farzanegan and I am a part of the Interactive Elementary Learning Center (IELC) which is a student-run organization founded by UC Davis students hoping to support elementary school students in the United States! We are providing free and virtual summer tutoring for students in grades 1-5. We will be teaching students reading comprehension and grammar through an interactive class model with practice and group activities facilitated by tutors. Our tutors are high school and college students who are passionate about providing an effective learning environment for younger students. The program will run from the week of June 19th through August 6th. Lessons will take place twice a week, and each lesson will last for an hour. Our lessons are developed according to the English Language Arts Common Core Standard to prepare students for the next school year, review further, and practice concepts learned in the previous school year.
