My name is Marissa Ericson and I received my Ph. D from USC in 2011 in Clinical Neuroscience with a focus on adolescent development and learning/memory systems. I have been a standardized test expert, tutor, and college application/essay mentor for over 10 years, having written test questions and worked in admissions. I earned my BA at Cornell University and am now a Cornell Ambassador and interviewer. I have worked for more than a decade developing and refining our SAT curriculum and course materials and have personally worked with over 300 students. I strive to incorporate relevant and current research on how the adolescent brain processes information into our curriculum and teaching methodology.

I am the founder of InSIGHT Elite College Prep and IvyApproved College essay editing. While I specialize in all standardized tests, I also tutor all K-12 subjects, including all HS Math up to Calculus, AP Lang and Lit, all levels of English, Psychology, Bio/Anatomy, Statistics, Reading, Writing, Creative writing and many others.

My hourly rate is $100/hr for SAT/ACT prep (session minimum 1.5 hrs) though I also offer packages and small group sessions (2 person), 90/hr for high school subjects, and 75/hr for K-8. I offer discounts if you travel to my home office.
