I am providing before and after school care in my home.
I worked in a special education class for 5 years before having my 2nd child, then I helped run an in home daycare in Vero Beach for several months before moving to California. Now I'm back in Florida and I'm reestablishing myself as a home childcare provider.
I use a visual schedule, timers and follow a predictable routine each day to minimize stress and transitional difficulties. We do lots of fun learning activities including reading and math games, sensory activities, art, and age appropriate science experiments. I have a different theme each week and plan activities around that theme. We go outside every day when the weather is nice.
I have worked with children with various disabilities, including ASD, ADD, ADHD, ODD, SPD, Down Syndrome, Rett Syndrome, Williams Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Global Delays, and more.
