In-Home Daycare
123, Westerville, OH 43081
Hello,
TRUST; It is the first word I think of when looking for care for my own children. You trust a person to make sure that your children are safe, loved, learning & socialized. I am starting my background with that word because I don't want to mislead any parents into thinking that I am a teacher nor have I ever worked in a daycare center. I am posting this job to see the type of interest I get prior to making a permanent career change to child care.
My name is Jessica, 36 years old, and am all to familiar with finding not just good, but great child care. In my opinion, you cannot be to judgmental or particular for what is best for your family. I had the pleasure of having a great baby sitter for 6 years until she recently retired. I learned a lot about the ins and out's of in home child care. Even the best of sitters can call off on you, make decisions without talking to you first, and not prevent every accident. Even the best of us mothers can make the same mistakes.
I have worked professionally for over 20 years, I am an executive that works daily with people in retail customer service. I am the oldest of 5 siblings, I was a built in care giver for my parents as well as several friends & neighbors throughout middle & high school. I also did summer nanny jobs through college, as well as taught PSR & art classes.
My husband and I got married in 2008 and have a 6, 4, and 2 month old. We have lived in our Westerville home for 2 years, with a back yard and finished basement with a playroom. We are members of St. Paul's Parish/school. Right now I work 40+ hrs a week, and am realistic in saying that my house is not always spotless, there are toys and clothes on the floor, we don't cook with only organic foods, I don't use chemical free cleaners. The little time I do have with my children is important and I love doing crafts, reading, playing dress up, dancing, we watch movies, being outdoors, etc.
I am a good mom and am looking for an opportunity to help other good moms. I would plan on opening my daycare in fall of 2015. I will run it as a business with a contract, stating policies, fees, etc. My 2 children will be home with me daily (the oldest after school and on breaks). I will take 3-4 children, age 5 and under. My hours would be Monday-Friday from 7am-5:30pm. I am confident I could do this job well, and promise to teach, love, grow your children as they become part of my family, and I a part of yours.
