My name is Katie Thompson. I am a 28 year old mother of two, a 5 year old boy and a brand new baby girl! I am currently staying at home with my 2 precious children and have decided to offer my experience in taking care of others children and providing a safe, secure learning environment for kids.
Experience:
* Over 10 years experience in child care ranging from 6 weeks old to school aged children
* Raising my own 2 children (now 5 and 3 weeks)
* I worked in a daycare facility for 2 years taking care of children 6 weeks to school aged. I provided basic needs including feeding and changing them, and providing the appropriate cognitive activities.
* I nannied for a 2nd grade boy for 2 years, providing him with after school care including helping him with his homework and playing!
* I nannied for a little girl starting when she was 6 weeks old, and taking care of her until she was 2.
Schooling and Certifications:
* I have a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in early childhood education.
* I have a Master's Degree in Social Work with an emphasis in children and families.
* I am a provisionally licensed master social worker and mental health practitioner.
I live in West Omaha (around 192nd and Q). I am open to care for children of any age! I focus on the development of each child, and make sure that they are doing age appropriate games, and tasks everyday to move them towards the developmental stages appropriate for their age group.
