Iliff Preschool, Kindergarten & School-age Summer Camp

Iliff Preschool, Kindergarten, and School-Age Summer Camp has been a mainstay of southeast Denver for over five decades. Serving University Hills, Washington Park, University of Denver, and the Colorado Boulevard business corridor, professional staff members meet the needs of the community with programs including toddlers (walking independently and at least one year of age), preschool, per-kindergarten, private kindergarten, before and after school-age club for children attending University Park Elementary, and school-closure and summer camps for children up to fourteen years of age. The staff, averaging over 20 years of service, was featured in Barry's Preschool Pick in 5280 magazine. Most recently, the staff was honored by Colorado Parent as a 2018 winner in the childcare category.

All programs follow NAEYC and NCCA quality standards. They encourage the growth of children's self-esteem, cultural identity, independence, and individual strengths.

Indoor facilities consist of 8 age appropriate classrooms, including a real DC7 airplane fuselage, licensed and equipped as the only kindergarten classroom in a real airplane, computer labs, radiant heated floors and air conditioning for year round comfort, a fully equipped commercial kitchen where snacks and lunches are prepared, and a security gate at the front entrance

In addition, field trips are provided in center owned buses driven by staff with commercial driver's licenses. Eight, nationally recognized, age appropriate outdoor play grounds surround the facility.

When visiting, you will notice much of the interior is painted with illustrations from early childhood literature, providing comfort, beauty and inspiration to all children. Enrichment classes in language, dance, art and music enhance the daily schedule.
