About the business
PROVIDING COMPREHENSIVE, INDIVIDUALIZED, BEHAVIORAL SUPPORTS
TO FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS.
iBehave Therapy Group provides in home and clinical ABA therapy to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS (ABA)
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the process of systematically applying interventions based upon the principles of learning theory to improve socially significant behaviors to a meaningful degree, and to demonstrate that the interventions employed are responsible for the improvement in behavior. (Baer, Wolf & Risley, 1968; Sulzer-Azaroff & Mayer, 1991)
ABA THERAPY
ABA Therapy can be used to increase, decrease, change, shape, or eliminate almost any behavior that can be observed. As a discipline, Behavior Analysts seek the improvement of socially significant behaviors. Socially significant behaviors include communication, social skills, academics, reading, and adaptive living skills such as gross and fine motor skills, toiling, dressing, eating, personal self-care, domestic skills, and work skills.
DISCRETE TRIAL TRAINING (DTT)
Discrete Trial Training (DTT) falls under the ABA umbrella of science as the primary teaching strategy. DTT is a method of teaching in simplified and structured steps. Instead of teaching an entire skill in one go, the skill is broken down and built-up using discrete trials that teach each step one at a time. Smith, T. (2001). Discrete Trial Training in the Treatment of Autism. Focus on Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities, 16, 86-92. DOI: 10.1177/108835760101600204
iBehave Therapy Group, will individualize ABA therapy sessions based on parental interview, assessments, and direct observation of the individual targeted for therapy.
ABA THERAPY OPTIONS
Direct Individual Therapy - for intervention in any area of need (communication, social skills, academics, reading, and adaptive living skills such as gross and fine motor skills, toileting, dressing, eating, personal self-care, domestic skills, and work skills)
Small Group Therapy - social skills, natural environment training and play dates are lead by a BCBA or Master level supervisor and supported by tutors. A one to one ratio is kept during all groups to ensure proper attention and guidance.
Bed/Sleep Routines - developing and assisting you in implementing interventions to address sleep problems.
Video Based Consultation - families can send footage of problem situations and along with family interviews, develop a behavior plan.
