Over the past several years, I have learned the art of the hustle.
One job was never enough for me. I tried to settle into professional adult life, only to realize that my brain needed more stimulation than one pursuit could handle. Though my title was attorney, the years following law school saw me tutoring at my high school alma mater twice per week and writing/editing tech news articles for a local publication. On weekends, I contributed as a food writer for a local paper to combine my love of cuisine with my passion for the written word. When I moved to Austin, I left behind my legal career and started teaching high school English, editing student papers and research assignments with gusto. Though I was passionate about what I was teaching, I picked up a side gig as a spin instructor because I yearned to do even more. Most recently, I branched out from my corporate finance job to tutor for University of Texas Athletics in the early evenings.
Passion fuels the hustle, and that's exactly why I am here today.
One common thread runs through my past ventures, and that is this: I love to help others find what they seek. I truly love to teach. If you want a good sweat, I'll get your muscles moving. If you need copy full of honest, flavorful prose that is edited to your heart s desire, I'll write and write until my fingers go numb. If there is an assignment that has you stumped, an admissions essay looming over your head, or a workload that is simply too much, I want to help you find your own words.
My expertise lies in the written word, but my educational and professional background allows me to offer helpful guidance on a multitude of liberal arts subjects. Not sure if I can meet your tutoring needs? Just ask.
