Horizons creates unique, person-centered opportunities for children and adults who have developmental disabilities and other special needs. Horizons is a non-profit agency, focusing on each person's capacity and talents while responding to the changing needs of families, individuals and the community. Horizons summer camp is offered for eight weeks each summer. Campers and counselors bunk together in comfortable cabins. Engaging, well trained instructors inspire campers in horseback riding, swimming, boating, arts and crafts, fitness, drama, pioneering, music, camp crafts, P.E., language arts, movement and dance. Horizons Weekends in the Country run from October to May. Campers enjoy action-packed weekends that are filled with fun and friendship. Weekends themes are developed by a creative team.
