About

CHOOSING A CHILD CARE PROVIDER

A child care provider has your child/children anywhere from 8-10 (sometimes longer) hours per day....If you have a full-time career to support & raise your family, your child is only home with you about 4-5 hours each day.
Therefore; if they are going to be spending so much time with someone other than you, shouldn't it be someone you're confident will aid you in raising them as if they were their own child? Someone who wholeheartedly cares about your child, and isn't just "babysitting" to make a buck.
I'm not just another babysitter. I have a love for ALL children, not just my own. My wish and passion is to watch the children in my care grow and learn every day in a loving home environment, teaching them responsibility, discipline, structure, and stability.......while not losing sight of the fact that allowing them to just (be children) through creative and imaginative play, being spontaneous, having fun and exploring their own unique gifts, talents, and capabilities ultimately creates a well-balanced foundation for their future.
And although there are people who take child care lightly, I believe there is much more to this career choice than just warming up bottles, changing dirty diapers, and wiping snotty noses.
The term babysitter is an enormous understatement.....and 99% of child care providers can't even stand that word.
I honestly see myself as a "day time mommy" for all the children I give care for while their real mommies are working just to make sure they have a great life. After all, the true purpose of hiring a child care provider, is to make sure that your child is cared for, loved, and safe during times that their parents can't be with them.
The most difficult part of this profession is caring for children in your home for years, then one day they grow up, and no longer need child care.
You can only hope and pray that you helped their parents instill good morals and values, and that you somehow made a difference in their life.....
