I am a mother of two children, a boy and a girl. I make sure the children I watch are healthy, safe and getting educated just like my own children. We do a family style type dining when it comes to meals. Also the meals are as healthy as possible, whole grain and full course meals of course. They also receive a afternoon snack or either fruits or vegetables after nap time. The environment they are in is very educational. They are surrounded by their number and letters, shapes and colors, calendars and clocks. We do outside time everyday. Also, we do imaginary and realistic teaching. Imaginary would be like dress up, realistic would be like how big is a tree?
Field trips are a must when it comes to education and realistic teachings. Going to farms, petting zoos, farmers markets, berry pickings and museums are our favorite things to do. We also do adventure walks so that the children can see what small incredible things are in nature and see how plants grow just like them. All special and unique.
Upon admission; parents receive field trip forms, the contract, the daily schedule, possible future plans, our safety guide, contingency plan and a copy of that months meal menu.
I try to keep parents as aware of what their children do and learn as much as I possibly can.
