I grew up in Wooster. I received my bachelors of education from Miami University, and taught public school in Asheboro, North Carolina for 10 years where I earned my gifted education certification and national board certification. I have experience caring for and teaching children from newborn up to college freshmen in all areas.
I love to read, dance, play, cook and to be outside. I enjoy art and creatively thinking of new ways to inspire children to explore and create. I am passionate about kindness, and often recite Gandhi s peace prayer with children at the beginning of the day to bring us together as a group.
I pull strongly from Maria Montessori s teachings on child development and learning, and I am constantly reading the latest research and books on education and parenting.
I have a large fenced in backyard with a swing set, sandbox, covered porch and deck. These amenities provide so many opportunities for your child to play and explore outside.
I am open and welcoming to all who come through my door. I believe truly it takes a village to raise a child and I am honored to be in your village. I will try to be very flexible with everyone.
