ALL ABOUT YOUR PROVIDER
I grew up in Wooster. I received my bachelors of education from Miami University, and taught public school in Asheboro, North Carolina for 10 years where I earned my gifted education certification and national board certification. I have experience caring for and teaching children from newborn up to college freshmen in all areas.
I love to read, dance, play, cook and to be outside. I enjoy art and creatively thinking of new ways to inspire children to explore and create. I am passionate about kindness, and often recite Gandhi s peace prayer with children at the beginning of the day to bring us together as a group.
I pull strongly from Maria Montessori s teachings on child development and learning, and I am constantly reading the latest research and books on education and parenting.
I have a large fenced in backyard with a swing set, sandbox, covered porch and deck. These amenities provide so many opportunities for your child to play and explore outside.
I am open and welcoming to all who come through my door. I believe truly it takes a village to raise a child and I am honored to be in your village. I will try to be very flexible with everyone. If you have any tips that pertain to your child, please share with me so we can make our time together as enjoyable as possible.
