Home Is Where The Heart Is

My name is Sarah. I am a teacher taking a break from the outside workforce to stay home with my daughter and foster other childrens' growth. For the last eight years I have taught fourth and fifth grade both Internationally and in Michigan. I grew up in Chelsea and attended Albion College where I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I would like to find two families in need of childcare starting in September. My daughter is 2 and it would be ideal to have children between 18 months and four years of age. I plan on caring for the children in my home. I want to provide an attentive, nurturing environment where they are given the opportunity to learn, play, and be creative. I believe structure is important for mealtimes, nap times, and some daily routines, but I also see the value in having flexibility. I know it can be hard to balance work and family, and I look forward to offering childcare that feels more like home.
