Home Daycare

Hello, I just got done running a daycare in my home on a campus in Vancouver, Canada. I remember one little girl who wouldn't let her mom cut her hair, so they had me do it. I remember a little boy of one who couldn't calm without his orange stuffed moose. These are the personalities I treasure in being a care provider. I have two young children of my own, so I understand how important this decision is to any parent leaving their child with a daycare. I try to know each individual and treat all the children in my home, including my own, with equal love and care. I am also honest and reliable. We have a large area for play in our home. We do a lot of crafts. We walk to the park and have dance parties to our favorite kids music. We do not have a TV, but watch an occasional show. Reading is part of our daily routine, and I like to infuse everything with learning. I have an MA in international journalism and I spent several years as a substitute teacher and a caregiver for disabled adults. Now, I homeschool my four-year-old while my one-year-old watches on.
