Home Away From Home Childcare

Hello! I started Home Away From Home four years ago because I wanted to create an in-home childcare environment that focuses on creating a comfortable, intimate atmosphere where children can feel as loved here as they are in their own home.I have been in the shoes of working parents that needed to depend on child care. I understand how difficult it is to entrust your child with someone. I am the mother of three beautiful girls and have cared for additional children ages four months to four years old. I believe that children can explore their world and their imagination through free play, outdoor adventures, crafts, music, reading, and instructor-led activities. In addition to working on basic skills such as colors, numbers, letters, to name just a few, I am passionate about helping children learn compassion, empathy, inclusion, sharing, communication, assertion, as well as balance in a group. It is my goal to foster their individuality, model positive behaviors, help facilitate interactions, navigate conflicts and emotions, and to love them. I think it is important to minimize chemicals in the environment so I use plant-derived and essential oil based disinfectants. I provide home cooked lunches and nutritionally balanced snacks. I am looking for a family with up to two children that needs childcare 2 days a week. I currently have openings on Monday and Thursday for children over the age of 18 months.
