In-Home Daycare

Holly Jolly Daycare

7301 N Laurel Ave., Kansas City, MO 64158

About

My name is Holly. I am a stay-at-home mom of three, ages seven years, three years, and ten weeks - so plenty of experience from newborns on up through school-agers, and that's not including sporadic babysitting in my teen years.

I am starting an in-home daycare at my home in Kansas City near the Liberty WalMart; I am available Monday through Friday any times between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. and can be available for the occasional evening or weekend day so you can have a date night!

My older two are both in school during the day, so it would just be my babysitting kids, my youngest daughter, and myself in the house most of the time. I am only looking for two to three children to take care of; I believe it's very important that a child's care be personalized to what they specifically need, not a one-size-fits-all care method that tends to be used when there are too many little feet running around and not enough big hand to guide them.

We do a wide variety of things in our home: Reading, music (I am the chorister for the womens' class at my church), developmental play (sensory development, working on learning new vowels, consonants, and combining them), lots of outdoor play when weather permits, and Learning Time. Learning Time is a period of the afternoon after my son gets home from preschool where we do homemade "homework", generally consisting of learning to identify and write letters, numbers, colors, shapes, etc., as well as working on socially appropriate behavior. I would love to include your little one(s) in our Learning Time! We also take field trips to Chick-fil-A on Wednesdays for Kids Korner (crafts, storytime, lots of kids to play with, and sometimes The Cow is there).

I have a vast array of experience with special needs that I've learned from my own kiddos, ranging from food allergies/sensitivities to special medical care (such as post-surgery/hospitalization) to developmental delays/autism.

If you have any questions you would like to ask, please feel free; I would love to answer them for you! I hope to hear from you soon!
