Holistic Seedlings

Hello! I am Massiva, the founder of Holistic Seedlings Wonderschool. I have been working with children for over 15 years, both as a mother and as a professional child care provider in the the US and Southern France.

I operate the daycare with my Husband Younes, who was an early elementary teacher for ten years in our home country. We both form an amazing team and we always have each others back for doing tasks around the house and making sure everything is place.

I was inspired to start my own program after the birth of my youngest child. I know first-hand how important it is to have a loving and safe space to allow children to grow and I want to provide that to other families in my community.

My older children attend a Montessori school and I draw inspiration from the Montessori philosophy. I loved how purposeful the classes are set and how the atmosphere in general is so amazing.

I hold a B.A. in Human Services, a B.A. in Theatre from University Le Mirail in Toulouse, France. B.A. in Archeology and Art from Bonn University in Germany, a certificate in Early Childhood Education, and just graduated from a Holistic Nutrition program where I focused on learning about living a healthier lifestyle and raising happy, healthy little ones. I am excited to incorporate these teachings into my program.

Some of my favorite hobbies are hiking and exploring the Bay Area trails, swimming, traveling,reading natural Medicine books, cooking and incorporating my Holistic Nutrition knowledge to give my little ones a healthy start, and most importantly hanging out with the cute souls at my daycare.

Our Philosophy

At Holistic Seedlings Wonderschool, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by feeling safe, loved, and nurtured. It is our goal to provide an environment that makes children feel welcomed and at home. In our program, children will feel supported as they engage with new ideas and learnings.

My program follows a play-based philosophy with a Montessori inspiration.

We believe children learn social, cognitive, and emotional skills through new experiences. Our environment is responsive to the children in our care, and allows children's own interests to facilitate their learning and engagement.

Our Lead Teacher is trained in Holistic Nutrition, so nutrition and physical wellness are a big part of our daily activities and curriculum. We make Sourdough bread, veggie muffins, different types of Moroccan Tajines, play around herbs and spices and basically everything that will boost and give a healthy beginning to the little Munchkins.

We believe in providing natural, wooden toys whenever possible that allow for open-ended and creative play. We also create DIY project to stretch the imagination of the children.

We are a mixed-age program and ensure that our teaching and care is catered to the different ages and needs of each child.
