Hogarth Country Day School

Hogarth offers three programs -- Early Kindergarten for 4 and 5-year olds and two Prekindergarten options for children ages 2.5 through 4 years. Class size is limited to 14 students. All classes are taught by the owner, teaching director Andrea Murphy. A classroom aide assists Andrea in her work.

At Hogarth we facilitate growth in all areas of child development: social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and aesthetic. We take a developmental/play-based approach to early childhood education which means we achieve our goals, including our academic goals, using methods and curriculum that is appropriate for our young students.

Andrea, an award-winning published children's author, writes much of the Hogarth curriculum, tailoring it to the interest and needs of the children in her classroom. For nearly four decades, many of the area's youngest students have gathered to learn and grow in the big barn-turned-schoolhouse across from the Lamprey River in Epping, New Hampshire. Since this innovative early childhood center opened in 1980, generations of children have thrived on the Hogarth experience.
