Hillcrest Montessori is owned and operated by the Montessori Children's House of Southbridge Inc., or MCHS as it is known, a non-profit organization that operates primary Montessori classrooms in the Central Massachusetts area.
The goal of Hillcrest is to help children ages 2 years 9 months through 6 realize the fullness of their developmental potential during these formative years.
Our school provides a carefully prepared environment and specially trained adult guides, who illuminate the organizing principles of this work to the children's parents.
Hillcrest Montessori strives to create an environment where academic excellence can be achieved within a community that promotes creativity and responsibility. In the Montessori tradition, Hillcrest seeks to help each child discover their joy in learning as well as their place in the greater society by strengthening the bonds between the parents, children and staff of Hillcrest. The sense of family will become a stable base from which each child can explore themselves, their community and the world.
The school is guided in it's mission by the discoveries and lifelong work of Dr. Maria Montessori.
