Hilaria's Family Child Care

Hi! I am a 34 year old stay-at-home mom to a 15 month old boy. I have a bachelor degree in Sociology from NC State, and over 25 semester hours in Early Childhood Development. I have worked in quality 5-star preschools in the area for 15 years, both as a teacher and as a director. I loved my career and enjoyed every minute of it, but upon the birth of my son in March 2012 decided to stay home, when I found that I myself could not afford daycare. I wanted to be able to give other parents, like myself, the opportunity to have quality, loving, attentive care at an affordable price.

I have been caring for children in my home since May 2012. I am not licensed by the state, and do not care to be. I will never have enough children in my care to require a license. I want to keep it small so that I can insure that everyone is getting the attention and love they require.

I have a written daily schedule that we follow as closely as possible. I have a play center set up for the children, and rotate the toys in the center monthly to keep them interested. We have outside time each day (weather permitting) and do art activities regularly. We read lots of books and love singing while we play! I send home a report at the end of each day that includes all diaper changes/potty times, meals and naps, and may also include any special notes or reminders. We are a very easy-going, fun-loving family, with a huge sense of humor, and wish to find families of a like mind.
