Highfield Family Day Care

I decided to become an in-home day care provider to fill a void created by the Covid pandemic. I have a family of first responders and front line workers, and hear first hand about the struggles they and their coworkers have finding an affordable, reliable, friendly, welcoming environment for their children, while they continue working through these difficult times. I offer structured schedules that include plenty of time for physical activity, indoors and out, in a child safe, fenced in back yard, quiet time, including daily story time, as well as creative play. The children will be provided with age appropriate, nutritious, well balanced meals and snacks. Covid-19 safety precautions will be followed, according to CDC guidelines posted on their web site, and daily temperatures checks will be done at drop off. In addition to a fenced in back yard, the house has been child-proofed including outlet covers, door knob and stove covers. I live with my husband in a brand new development of single family homes, located in quiet, cul-de-sac only 5 minutes from the Charlton and Sturbridge town lines.
Due to restrictions on licensing new in-home day care providers, my license status is on hold, however, I do plan on moving forward with licensing, as soon as the state reopens. I have been certified in first aid and CPR, both adult and infant, for years and plan to update my certifications when in-person classes resume. Until then, I have re-certified online for both infant/child/adult CPR and first aid. I look forward to building long lasting relationships with you and your child/children.
