My name is Betsy Shader. I am a medically retired teacher/administrator of 25 years. I opened Highest Heights Tutoring in October 2011. Since that time, I have served many children and families in the Millbrae area. It has been a great joy and honor to work with such wonderful people. Our family owned company is on a new adventure. We have moved from Millbrae, California to Oro Valley, Arizona. One could say that we followed our children to the Tucson area. Our son just graduated from The University of Arizona, and will be teaching Special Education in the area this Fall. Our daughter is entering her Junior year at The University of Arizona, and is studying to be a Special Education teacher as well. I am currently providing tutoring, by Skype, to my California students. I am now opening some private tutoring sessions to students in the Oro Valley area. I will be tutoring at the Oro Valley Library. I will also be going to student's homes to tutor, providing a parent is home at all times. All tutoring is by appointment only. Whether your child is in need of help with projects, homework, papers, needs support in getting organized, or has special needs, I can help him/her. It is my belief that every child can learn. I will meet your child where he/she is academically, and move your child as far forward as I can. There is no greater success than to help a child gain confidence in himself/herself.
