ABOUT THE BUSINESS: Austin, owner/operator of High Sierra Canine, has had a passion for all animals for as long as he can remember. His experience began early as owner of a variety of pets throughout his childhood, including fish, birds, guinea pigs, hamsters, cats, dogs, and hermit crabs. At the age of 12, he began his own dog walking/pet sitting service in his neighborhood. He has furthered his animal experience through his own research, classes and serving as a volunteer at the Sierra Wildlife Rescue Center in El Dorado County. His background experience also includes working at a local dog park, grooming assistant, and dog day care manager. Currently, Austin is training his dog Shasta as a Search and Rescue canine. As an animal lover, owner and trainer, he would LOVE to serve you and your furry friends!

With each visit we will spend quality time with your pet and treat them as if our own. We will keep a detailed record of each visit and can even send you updates of your pet while you're away. DOG TRAINING: If you are new to dog ownership, are having issues with your dog's behavior, or just want a better trained pet, we also offer owner/dog training. The best place to train your dog is in its own natural environment, your home. You will receive four 1-hour, one-on-one training sessions with our experienced dog professional. We don't just train your dog, but we also train you to know how to maintain your dog's desired behavior. Whether you need assistance in the basic commands, walking your dog on a leash, or addressing other behavior issues, we offer three levels of training to meet your needs - Puppy Manners, Beginning Obedience Training, Intermediate Obedience Training, and Advanced Obedience Training. We have the experience to help you enjoy a well-behaved pet.
