ABOUT US: Heritage Christian Daycare (HCDC) and Learning Center was founded in March of 1982, in response to the community s needs for a Christian childcare at an affordable rate. From an initial enrollment of 9 full-time children, the center has grown to become one of the largest & most respected childcare centers in Alvin, Texas.

OUR MISSION: Is to serve our children and their families by demonstrating Christian character values, ethics and morals as we strive to create an atmosphere that is both caring and nurturing so that every child that is in our care will feel comfortable and secure. An atmosphere that promotes the emotional, social, intellectual, physical, and spiritual development of each child enrolled in our center.

OUR LEARNING PROGRAM: Is themed based and encourages children's social, emotional, physical, cognitive and spiritual development. Our daily lesson plans are made up of activities teach letters, numbers, shapes, math, science and bible. We also have stories time, cooking activities, music, indoor and outdoor free play, along with gross and small muscle development activities.

FOOD PROGRAM: HCDC and Learning Center meets all USDA standards for a healthy and balanced diet. We are a member of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). This governmental agency provides aid to child care centers for the provision of nutritious foods that contribute to the wellness, healthy growth, and development of young children. We provide the following meals, to all children in our care, along with formula and baby food for infants under the age of one year old.

Breakfast is from 6 - 7:30 a.m.
Morning Snack is served at 9:00 a.m.
Hot Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m.
Afternoon snack is served at 3:00 p.m.
Hot Dinner is served at 5:00 p.m.

VIDEO MONITORING: HCDC and Learning Centers offers a warm, friendly environment for children of all ages. Our facility is clean and bright, with plenty of age-appropriate toys and equipment. For your child s safety and for your peace of mind, our classrooms are also equipped with video monitoring & recording of all daily activities. Recording are kept for 2 weeks.

PLAYGROUNDS: HCDC and Learning Center is located on nearly an acre of land, right in the heart of Alvin. Our outdoor play area is expansive with lots of grass and trees, an in-ground swimming pool, climbing structures, tricycle paths, and more, all designed with a specific-age group in mind.
