HELPING HANDS PATIENT SERVICES is a limited liability corporation with a staff of dedicated lift team technicians and support personnel. HHPS mission is to provide safe patient handling, improve patient comfort, safety and recovery, and prevent employee injuries through skillful, compassionate and respectful patient care.
HELPING HANDS PATIENT SERVICES, LLC is the only company in the state of California that certifies lift technicians (in house). Our company provides classroom instruction (book/video) and hands on training that equips students to become qualified certified lift technicians in acute care hospitals and/or long term facilities. Our students have a strong understanding of the regulatory rules and guidelines of AB 1136, Cal-OSHA, HIPPA and CDC s Safe Patient Handling and Mobility guidelines.
Through the years, the combination of a shortage of nurses and an increase of patients in acute care facilities has diminished the quality of inpatient healthcare and the availability of in-home supportive services. Michael Lee, HHPS President and CEO, is a trained lift technician with over 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
Our lift team technicians, certified nursing assistants, and wellness sitters pride themselves on the manner and quality in which they attend to in-patients and care for your loved ones in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. Whether you or your loved one is a health care facility inpatient or a private-paying in-home patient, we provide customized, efficient lift techniques and body mechanics to prevent pressure ulcers while bedridden or immobilized.
HHPS also provides in-facility training and certification to lift team technicians to ensure that lift technicians are knowledgeable of the most effective, up-to-date lift techniques.
