I have a MEd, and in my career I see many children struggle in school.
The one size fits all the school has developed, is good for the majority of children, but there is an influx of students who it does not work for. I began to question; What if the child's curriculum was filled with movement, color, and sound? Let's not oppress his mind by focusing on a single sheet of paper in a book, or a non-moving object and exasperate his brain to learn. Instead, why not use his energy in teaching him. Why do we take a child who we label as hyperactive and expect them to sit straight in a chair for one hour or even 30 minutes?

I created HEART, an acronym for, Helping Education Adapt By Restructuring How We Teach. My vision through HEART is that every child will find their self and way of gaining knowledge through how they learn. Learning is an individual talent, and every person has that special tool in which to learn. What they need is the way in which to find their way of learning through my assessment. At HEART, it is my vision to help them achieve this.
