ive taken my babies to mr.Hawkins since 2003. I highly recommend this wonderful place. I know when I leave my babies here they are very well taken care of with someone on staff in the office 24/7.and I can tell how much my babies love this place !!

I borded my two 16 month old German Shepherd puppies at Hawkins Boarding Kennel in Petal for one night on 4/23/17 and I returned the next morning to find that one of my dogs had 3 teeth knocked out and 2 teeth hanging out of his mouth, and their paws had been sliced open. Mr. Hawkins claimed to have not known about it and had no answers to how it happened. He gave me my money back and paid for the $600 emergency vet bill in an effort to get rid of me. He told me that if they needed additional treatment he would pay for that as well. However, the next day when I called to inform him my puppys paw was still gashed open and I needed to take him back to the vet he told me " I aint responsible for that and I dont care who you call, you can call Trump and tell him bout it." The bottom line is Mr. Hawkins was indeed responsible for my pets and he is the reason they are both now permentaly damaged. My dog will live the rest of his life with no bottom front teeth and I am stuck with a $500 vet bill and medicine to pay for. Please if you care about your pets or any animal do not bring your pet to Hawkins Kennels. This is animal cruelty. I never dreamed this would happen and expected to pick my dogs up in the same condition I left them in. The Petal Police Dept, ASPCA and BBB of Mississipi have all been notifed of this incident. I just want to prevent the abuse of any other animals. No animal deserves this. Mr. Hawkins is neglent and no animal needs to be in his or his business care.
